Valens Myotein® is a protein module with high concentrated source of pharmaceutical grade protein. It is a medical nutrition supplement suitable for providing extra protein to persons with increase protein needs and to persons who are unable to achieve sufficient protein requirements with their normal diet.
Unlike other dietary protein, Valens Myotein® is an instantised, soluble milk protein with excellent solubility throughout the pH range and with enhanced dispersibility. It mixes readily with most enteral feeding formula and beverages.
Valens Myotein® is cream in color and with clean flavour. It does not alter flavour of formula, beverages and foods.
Suggested dosage for healthy adults: 1-2 scoops Myotein 2 times per day.
Actual dosage: Determined by clinical/dietitian based on condition, estimated need and dietary intake. Can be administered orally or through a feeding tube.
Mix with Liquids
Valens Myotein® with a small amount of feeding liquid to make a smooth paste, and then gradually add the remaining feeding liquid into the paste while stirring. For best mixing result, add Valens Myotein® into the desired amount of feeding liquid and briefly blend with blender. To avoid foaming, blend at low speed.
Mix with Foods
Sprinkle and stir in desired amount of Valens Myotein® into pre-mixed or prepared foods such as mashed potatoes, soups, gravies, yogurt or oatmeal. Use enclosed scoop to add recommended amount of protein based on the nutritional information and individual protein requirements of patients.
Once opened, cover can with over-cap, store in an odour-free, cool, dry place and use content within a month. After mixing or reconstituted, consume immediately or store in refrigerator, and use within 24 hours.
